Finally the day has come up with hope. The day had been expected since 1950. The day, with hope of peace and prosperity, people supremacy and the day which will be milestone to declare whether the country should have monarchy or republic has finally come. According to the reports from various part thousands of people are gathered in election booth. Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala cast his vote from Biratnagar this morning. Though as a responsible citizen I could not get chance to vote as I wanted to do so.
It is one more day to go CA election is held. Election Commission (EC), in its code of conduct (CoC) has strongly mentioned that political parties are not allowed to organize voting campaign during the silence period which is effective from April 8 and ends when the polling center are closed down on 10 April.

Silence period is part of code of conduct which has to follow strongly by all parties including responsible media for free and fair election. However, some media owner and management are not fully aware of what the intention behind the silence period is. So that they stopped dissemination of information in relation to the CA election. The meaning of silence period is not media are not allowed to disseminate information in relation to the voter education. This time thousands of young are going to election booth to cast their vote for the first time and on another hand those who had voted in previous election also casting their votes in two different ballet papers. So that almost of them even don't know how to cast the vote properly. For instant last night I watched the television program where most of young were asking to spokesperson of EC that how they can cast their vote, and other procedures of election. That clearly means that people need information about voter eduction. But it seems that media houses including state owned media institutions are only paying their attention for disseminating hottest news and event rather than informing audience, readers and viewers on voting eduction considering that if they do that way it will be against of silence period and so that they have to face the legal action if they don't abide by code of conduct. But according the EC silence period is not what does not allow to disseminate that sort of information.
It is reported that the candidate of CA election in Surkhet Rishi Prasad Sharma were shot dead last night in clash between CPN UML and Nepali Congress cadres. Mr. sharma was candidate of CPN UML. This morning surkhet is in tension. Local government has imposed indefinite curfew to make situation under control and not the situation to turn further violence.

Similarly, seven (7) Young Communist League (YCL) cadres were killed in Dang. It is reported that they were killed when YCL members were returning from attending the mass rally in Satbariya. According to the report, ex home minister Khum Bahadur Khadka was met in the way and YCL tried to beat him. Police has opened fire to control the situation and seven YCL members were shot dead. Other many injured were taken to the hospital.

One more day to go to hold the CA election. But it seems that it won't be peaceful. But people want the Election should peaceful and no more killings.
